Intention, or thought, is the precursor of action, directing speech and deeds. Right intention leads to right action and right speech, foundations of the peace of mind.
What is the right speech ?

Based on the Buddha´s Teachings,
- The right intention refers to the intention of non-attachment, of goodwill, of harmlessness.
- The right action consists in avoiding bodily acts that harm others, such as killing, stealing, committing reprehensible acts.
- The right speech consists of
avoiding false speech: tell the truth, be reliable and trustworthy.
avoiding slander: do not repeat things that cause dissension. Unite those who are divided, encourage those who are united. Rejoice in positive relationship, and spread harmony through words.
avoiding harsh speech: speak gentle, soothing, loving, courteous, friendly words.
avoiding idle chatter: speak at the right time, about the facts, about what's useful.
The speech is right if it passes at least 3 tests:
is it true?
is it beneficial?
is it at the right time?

A few sentences on speech/words:
. "If the word you are about to say is not more beautiful than silence, don't say it."
. "Speech is silver and silence is gold: it is better to be silent than to speak out of turn."
. "Language is sometimes misused, and a hurtful word can lead to critical situations."
